Why I wrote this post about “Important tips to use your mindset and focus, you can do it to achieve goals”.
I am convinced that there are more important influences to maintain your health and wellness than only “do your exercises” and “eat healthy foods“. I am convinced that your “mindset” and “focus” are very important to achieve your goal.
I want to share my thought’s with you from my experience. Since my early childhood, I have been interested in how to use your mindset and focus. I’m an autodidact so I am alway’s open minded and my strength is to combine information from different sources and categories and bring this to a whole new level. Mostly this is about science and health issues like self-help, natural healing, and the newest medical developments.
From the past till now I did a lot of research with Yoga, Meditation, EEG (electro-encephalogram), EMG (electromyography) and I was a naturopath.
Later I developed different new diagnostic programs with electro-acupuncture and I did a lot with microbiology. I developed also new blood analysis system and used my system 25 years to find the health and wellness for my clients and developed personal treatments. And now in this new era of communication, I want to help people worldwide with this health blog with a positive mindset to achieve my goals.
Focus on your goal during exercise, don’t be distracted
I am convinced that there are more important influences to maintain your health and wellness than only “do your exercises” and “eat healthy foods“. I am convinced that your “mindset” and “focus” are very important to achieve your goal. I see a lot of people when they walking or jogging together are not focused because they are talking about other things than what they are doing that moment. It’s only the movement they do and have not the appropriate mindset and focus. I am convinced that all these elements must be in balance to achieve your goal.
I am also convinced that if you follow some diet and your mindset say’s “this is not working for me, but who knows” then it will not give you the results. Even if there are a lot of people who had a success with this diet. In the movie “The Secret” you will learn that you achieve where your thoughts are. If you think “I don’t want to fail” you will fail because your mindset is set to fail. “I don’t want to” means nothing, you can better see and think “I have won“. So in our example of a diet, think and see in your mind “wow, it works I’m lost 10 pounds“. Set your mind and focus on your goal in the present, if you already achieved it. So I repeat;
Set your mind and focus on your goal in the present, if you already achieved it.
So focus on this technique when you do your fitness exercise or jogging e.d. to achieve your goal.
I the past I liked to see the tv series of “kung fu” with David Carradine. He learned that your mindset and focus are very important. You will get this, with all kinds of training like “zen“. They pick up their bow and arrow, set their mind and focus, they see and visualizing the arrow in the bulls-eye (Law of Attraction, The Secret) and when they feel the moment, the arrow flies to his goal and…, bulls-eye.
Your Mindset is a Big Deal
A mindset is a set of assumptions, methods, or notations that create a powerful incentive within you to adopt or accept prior behaviors, choices, or tools. Simply put, a mindset is a set of ideas and attitudes that shape the way someone thinks about themselves and the world and is a collection of thoughts and beliefs that shape your thought habits. Your mindset is the attitude you adopt, specifically in this case towards your abilities, intelligence and potential and about your attitude to life and all its challenges.
A growth mindset is the understanding that your personal qualities and abilities can change.
This growth mindset is based on the belief that your basic qualities are things you can cultivate through your efforts. Your mindset is everything when it comes to succeeding in achieving your goals.
Talking about a growth mindset is easy, but having one is harder than we may think. The growth mindset is the belief that qualities can change and that we can develop our intelligence and abilities. Individuals may not necessarily be aware of their own mindset, but their mindset can still be discerned based on their behavior. Before starting the journey, a mindset is the outmost important factor. One thing that mindset is not is inflexible and the good news is that a fixed mindset can be changed because it can make a difference. A positive mindset requires you to have delusions that nothing bad ever happens or, that people never do bad things a positive mindset does not happen by accident.
The growth mindset does allow people to love what they are doing and continue to love it in the face of difficulties. To be clear, the growth mindset does not guarantee success or makes things effortless. It often get’s created because the perception of ourselves from others becomes the relationships we have with ourselves.
The opposite of having a growth mindset is having a fixed mindset, which is the belief that intelligence and abilities cannot be developed. That can be dangerous because a fixed mindset can often prevent important skill development and growth, which could sabotage your health and happiness down the line. People with a fixed mindset often shy away from challenges. The fixed mindset does not allow people the luxury of becoming. This mindset often leads people to quit when a situation becomes too hard, or just not try new things for fear of failure.
Once you have overcome your ego, you will realise that each day can be a vital learning arena, if you just set your mind up to take from it and learn from it, and never shut off the possibility that a positive mindset may just be the difference between an 8 and a 5 in the ring and this is the reason that people with a growth mindset often accomplish more in the long term.
The Hidden Key’s to Achieve your Goals
If you want to achieve your goals, don’t focus on them. We didn’t yet talk in this eCourse about how you really accomplish your goals.
Focus only on the parts that are under your control.
Goals are things that are outside of your control and require you to have the participation of other people. If you focus only on your goals than you never achieve them. Focus on the part that is under your control and not on the part that is out of your control. Your behavior is what you alone can do thus focusing on your behaviors is how you achieve your goals. Learn from this 2 examples;
1) Goal-setting: You want to get an A in a class
If you are a student and you want to get an A in a class, that’s outside of your control, you don’t get to write A’s on all of your papers. You have a teacher who is going to grade these papers, give you assignments and somebody else is setting the curriculum. Thus somebody else is grading you, you don’t control what your grade is.
What you have under control is behavior, you can decide how long you study, going to the library to collect more knowledge about your study, sometimes don’t go out with friends when you want to learn more and so on. You don’t need others but you alone can do behaviors.
2) Goal-setting: I want to lose 10 pounds by the end of the year
You control the food or liquids that you put in your mouth. You control how much exercise you do and how you feel about the weight that you are. You can feel deprived and miserable but you can also say “I’m proud of myself, I’m eating less than I used to eat, I feel good”. Be positive.
Key-1: Today, tomorrow and this week
Behaviors are very short-term and mostly you can’t control your behavior more than 7 day’s, that’s it.
So ask yourself;
“What can I do today that is going to help me closer to that goal”
“What can I do tomorrow that is going to help me closer to that goal”
“What can I do this week that is going to help me closer to that goal”
Write things down in those three categories and plan out how you going to go after the goals that you have in your life. And this keeps you focused on your behaviors and keep in mind that if you stay focused on your behaviors day after day you keep yourself motivated day after day. You can feel good about what you have achieved when you follow this steps. Don’t worry about the goal and what is outside of your control. Focus 100% on the part that is under your control.
Key-2: Post a picture of your goal someplace visible
Post a picture of your goal someplace visible near your desk or on your refrigerator, for example. Visualizing your goal and see yourself there through manifestation, exactly how you think it will be when you’ve achieved it, whether it’s financial goals like traveling to Rome or building a dream house, or physical goals like finishing a marathon or getting a flat stomach, is a great motivator and one of the best ways of actualizing your goals.
Find a magazine photo or a picture online and post it somewhere where you can see it not only daily, but hourly if possible. Put it as your desktop photo, or your home page. Use the power of your visual sense to keep you focused on your goal. Because that focus is what will keep you motivated over the long term, once you lose focus, you lose motivation, so having something to keep bringing your focus back to your goal will help keep that motivation.
Key-3: These are the building blocks that lead to your Goals
- Goal-setting (development of an action plan)
Mindset (set of assumptions, methods, or notations)
Focus (selectively concentrating on one aspect)
Visualization (mental image)
Manifestation (reflecting the attributes into the physical world)
Meditation (a practice where an individual trains the mind)
Motivation (a theoretical construct used to explain behavior)
Willpower (training and control of oneself)
Affirmation (a declaration that something is true)
Attitude (a positive or negative adjustment)
Peroration;
So I told you that I am convinced that all the elements must be in balance to achieve your goals. This is important for both health and wellness or health and fitness. Also, you can’t achieve health without the perfect balance of your body fluids like the perfect PH balance. This is under strong influence from the food you are eating. Your body fluids must be light acid (PH 7.35) but when it reaches higher levels, illness, infections and weakness will be developed.
